To every thing there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born and a time to die; a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to reap, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
— Ecclesiastes
Dedication
I dedicate this book to The Spirit of The Holy Trinity, and to all who share their light. To my spirit guides who saved my life many times in many ways. They light my path to show me a better and truer way of life. Also, to my second best friend Miriam, the most loving wife a man could ever be blessed with. And to all the wonderful friends and acquaintances I met along the path. That even goes for those who shunned me. In truth, they taught me some of the most important lessons of all. I wish I could tell you my readers, about all of my wonderful experiences and travels over the years.
Much of this time was spent serving humanity and spirit. I wish you could see through my eyes, all the miracles I have witnessed. When you walk and work in spirit, there is no time, only consciousness and spiritual perception. There is no obstacle to big, or small that spirit can’t handle. I know this to be a fact, for I am living proof of the transforming, life saving powers of universal law.
WHAT IS ASTROLOGY?
The word astrology is derived from two Greek words: astra or star, and logos or logic. It is often referred to as the wisdom of the heavens. This wisdom has been preserved for humanity by prophets, seers, and keepers of the flame of truth throughout the ages. The subject of astrology dates back thousands of years. It existed in practically every country that exhibited any form of human evolution. This makes astrology, some of the most studied, and evolved knowledge in Earth history.
The uses of this universal knowledge are so vast that they could not even be numbered. In fact, it’s truths and uses are so powerful, it has been kept from the masses throughout the ages. It is only now that we possess the spiritual insight, comprehension and compassion as a race, to use it properly. When humanity was in its infant stages of consciousness, surely they gazed up at the heavens. They must have known deep within their souls, that we are intimately connected to the stars and the universe. Since the first conscious thought, we as a race have been unfolding. Hoping some day that we, as the heavens, would be made whole.
Astrology was different in many civilizations; it seemed to develop independently. Since the first Bedouin shepherds, started noticing the patterns of the stars in the heavens, the progression of Astrology began. The Chaldeans, who lived in Babylon (now Iraq), developed one of the original forms of astrology as early as 3000 B.C. The Chinese were practicing astrology by 2000 BC. The Chinese zodiac signs are called rat, ox, tiger, hare, dragon, serpent, horse, sheep, monkey, hen, dog and pig. By 500 BC, astrology had spread to ancient Greece. It was at this time Greece reached her height. It was because of astrologers like Aristotle, Pythagoras, Plato and Ptolemy.
They used this ancient form of knowledge, to enhance and elevate every form of thought within their country. They incorporated it in their writings, medicine, art, agriculture and government. They were some of the greatest astrologers of all time. Their main focus in life was the relentless search for truth. As astrologers, they possessed superior knowledge that could shed much light on future, present and past events.
Other varieties of astrology formed in ancient India, Central America, Rome, North America, and countless other countries. These people observed that certain astronomical bodies, particularly the Sun and Moon, directly affected the changes of the seasons. It also enhanced the success of medicine, crops and fishing. Based on calculated observations, astrologers developed a broader system. By tracking the movements of the stars and planets, they became more aware of additional aspects concerning life.
As astrology became introduced to the European nations, it took on a different form and meaning. Unfortunately, it became a science rather than a philosophy. There was a time when only kings, and rich businessmen were counseled by astrologers. However, if one wrong forecast resulted, a quick and sudden death was inevitable for the astrologer. As time went on, humane astrologers and philosophers developed a grander scheme from this liberating knowledge.
They would share it with the common people, who possessed good hearts. These astrologers in turn passed on this knowledge to anyone who wished to know truth and harmony. The evolutionary process of this ancient art became a common tool, for anyone wishing to abide within the laws of nature. Thus becoming a co-creator with the universe. Astrology is a metaphysical marvel; it indicates human reactions to planetary vibrations within our solar system. We collect thoughts in our sub-conscious while asleep, or when we meditate.
We materialize those mental impressions when conscious or awake. Like everything else about humanity, a double nature exists. Astrology teaches spiritual potentials and natural soul compatibilities. It is a philosophy of nature, expressed by actions and reactions. Like all the ologies and isms, it is mainly governed by the sign Aquarius, which is the New Age sign. Astrology exposes changing circumstances in life, and the true nature of those circumstances. It prepares one to manipulate, and transform so-called adverse conditions, before they appear, thus manifesting better conditions of life in advance.
A good example of how astrology psychologically influences humanity would be to consider the affects of the Sun. This planet affects every living thing on Earth. Its rays are among the most influential and beneficial to humanity. The position of the Sun in one’s natal chart indicates the real self, or the soul’s purpose. It is also said to affect the conscious mind. In our solar system, the Sun gives “soul power.” I look upon each human being, as a miniature solar system, all responding to a larger solar system. The word’s Sun, soul, and solar are derived from the same root word. The Sun gives power to regenerate and reproduce life. If you planted a flower or tree, would you keep it out of sunlight? Of course not, for the new plant would surely die. When the Sun doesn’t shine, we are more apt to become irritable or feel dull. Anything seen in sunlight is automatically brighter and clearer to the mind.
Let’s examine the effects of the Moon and her magnetic pull upon the Earth. In astrology, the Moon influence is taken seriously. It affects the sub-conscious mind and our feelings. The moon is not only the most visible planet; it is also the closest to the Earth. The Moon affect all liquids, she controls the tides and all fluids. Since the human body contains over 70 % fluid, why shouldn’t the Moon’s gravitational pull affect us? As the tides rise and fall, humanity experiences these tidal changes as feelings and moods.
Changes of emotional tides within humanity are called cycles of emotions. Remember the saying “It’s an up-and-down world.” Knowing emotional lunar levels can prepare us and help us overcome the hardest of times. Astrology is a true study of natural phenomena. It’s vast and accurate knowledge, helps us to express a natural and coexisting life within the realm of nature. Nature and natural are one in the same word.
On a personal and even global level, the benefits and uses for this ancient knowledge, could easily elevate the consciousness of every person on this planet. By understanding the true nature of others and ourselves, we can form lasting relationships and exhibit natural respect for each other. Any subject this large could naturally take decades to comprehend. However, as modern day astrologers, we are blessed with tools that ancient astrologers could not even dream about. What might take 10 years to comprehend in the past could be learned in a few short months.
Therefore, the time is now, for the people of the world to harness this liberating knowledge. We must use it to elevate the perception of humanity. As a modern day metapsysician, I must agree that astrology of old, is more truthful concerning some matters. However, the potential of modern day astrology, has the technology to verify the countless truths, contained within this vast subject.
Through mental awareness of symbolic knowledge, we accumulate spiritual consciousness; this elevates the soul. These cosmic laws provide opportunities to rise above the common material illusions of life. Thus, we come to spiritually interpret natural human reactions and desires. We do not change universal law, or hold nature in obedience to our beck and call. However, by a thorough study of this subject, we can improve manifested response to universal law. We simply improve our conscious thinking, speech, habits and actions. Astrology can show us when certain planetary influences are present and what to expect.
THE CELESTIAL ZODIAC
To describe the zodiac, one must use imagination. Envision the zodiac as a 15-degree belt of space, or imaginary circle surrounding the Earth. This belt of space is the apparent path that all the planets transit through. As we mentioned before, there are 12 star constellations contained within the zodiac. These 12 zodiac signs are directly associated with the twelve sun signs, and the 12 Earth houses contained within the natal chart. The magnetic pull of the Sun’s annual transit through each zodiac sign causes the seasons to change. These annual transits directly affect every aspect of life, and what we call time.
Due to the Earth’s orbital rotations, it causes the Sun to appear like it’s orbiting our Earth; approximately every 24-1/4 hours. Due to the orbit and rotational speed of Earth, the Sun appears to be orbiting around us. In reality, the Sun is the only stationary thing in our solar system. The annual orbit of the Earth around the Sun causes the Sun to pass through one of the twelve zodiac signs each month. The Sun’s influence, according to location, determines not only the seasons, but also the general soul nature. This determines the character of all living things within its field.
The Sun changes zodiac signs every 30 days, or degrees as it passes from Aries to Pisces each solar year. The twelve main zodiac energies are exhibited in the actions of the twelve sun signs which are: Aries The Ram, Taurus The Bull, Gemini The Twins, Cancer The Crab, Leo The Lion, Virgo The Virgin, Libra The Scales, Scorpio The Scorpion, Sagittarius The Archer, Capricorn The Goat, Aquarius The Water Bearer and Pisces the connected Fishes. The planets transit from west to east through the zodiac. They may take 2 days, or up to 30 years to transit a zodiac sign. This depends on their orbital distance from the Sun. The amount of solar time it takes a planet to transit a zodiac sign, will also depend on how far it is from the zodiac, how many times it retrogrades, or goes stationary, and also the speed it travels. Although the zodiac is referred to as a circle, it is in fact ecliptic, meaning each sun sign division possesses a specific influence, or expressions of its own. There are 6 masculine positive and 6 negative feminine solar signs. There are three Fire, Air, Earth and Water signs.
These 12 signs indicate the seasonal changes on planet Earth. In the western hemisphere, the three signs of spring are Aries, Taurus and Gemini. The three signs of summer are Cancer, Leo and Virgo. The three signs of fall are Libra, Scorpio and Sagittarius. The three winter signs are Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. The zodiacal circle is divided into twelve equal parts. Each part consists of 30¡ of space, and two hours of Earth time. Thus, each Sun sign occupies one twelfth of the zodiac circle. Each sign contains 30¡ of celestial longitude. Twelve times 30° constitutes a complete circle of the zodiac, or 360° of space. In this zodiac circle, each planet travels in its separate orbit around the Sun.
Each planetary vibration is inner acting with the vibrations of the other planets. Even though the Earth may travel outside the sphere of the zodiac, the effect of the Sun is still felt, because it is still transiting one of the zodiac signs. The solar vibration set off at that time, will affect every planet in the solar system. Although astronomers consider the Sun to be a star and the Moon to be a satellite, astrologers consider them planets, because of their circular shape. As the planets transit each sign of the zodiac, they set off corresponding vibrations, thus activating the solar sign and planet, or planets involved within that transit.
Example: If Jupiter were transiting the solar sign Sagittarius, it would be at home in its corresponding sun sign Sagittarius. Both are fire vibrations and readily expand. However, if Jupiter were transiting the earth sign Capricorn, it would be considered in its fall.
This position would limit the Jupiter vibration. In the fiery sign of Sagittarius, the fire planet Jupiter could expand. However, when placed in the cardinal earth sign Capricorn, its expansive energies would be contracted and limited. As we study the signs and the energies they produce, we learn to compare and evaluate what is harmonious and what is frictional.
This is how astrology works; it is an on going science of comparison. A famous astrologer, Llewellyn George, once said, “The planets impel, but they do not compel.” Many planetary transits resemble drops of water on a big rock. They may take long periods of time for their vibrations to be consciously recognized. However, other planetary transits in a zodiac signs can set off extreme friction at incredible rates of speed. Some of these planetary aspects may even cause wars and rebellions. By understanding what may happen, we as individuals can better prepare for what is ahead.
The vibrations of the Sun, and other planets cause mental and emotional signatures on the entire human race. All of the planets orbit around the Sun. The Sun is the center of our solar system. See chart on preceding page. The Sun in astrology is said to be the giver of life, and the Moon is said to be the receiver. Planetary vibrations profoundly affect every person, animal and plant. Any farmer or fisherman who does not use solar and lunar tables to guide them will not be very successful.
Some planet transits are so harmonious they are hardly ever noticed. The longer a planet stays in a zodiac sign, the longer its effect will last on the consciousness of humanity. The vibrations that are set off by the planets are woven into every atom and thought within this planet and solar system. Early astrologers determined the width of the zodiac, so they could track the annual motion of the five visible planets. At one time, these planets were assigned to all twelve sun signs, mainly because the outer planets could not yet be seen.
When telescopes were invented, more planets were found and observed by astrologers. A much truer picture of planetary vibrations began to develop. It was then that astrology started to become a more precise study. Today we have the Hubbell telescope, and space probes that give us a wider, and much clearer view of our solar system. We have computers that can deline a horoscope in less than two minutes. The modern day astrologer has a magnitude of tools to work with. When we teach astrology, we try to make an impression on our students. We tell them to see all of the energies, of the three factors involved in understanding a natal chart. These factors are, the planets, sun signs and the earth houses.
Example: The Sun, the solar sign Leo and the fifth earth house are directly related. We teach that the planet’s symbolize the spiritual manifestation. The zodiac sign’s is the mental manifestation. The earth houses represent the physical manifestation. It’s a wonderful experience to share and cooperate with nature, and to understand your fellow man. That is a pure form of universal consciousness. This knowledge allows us to love, and understand all our brothers and sisters. This ancient knowledge can align us with the forces of nature, and to love all creation.
WHAT IS A NATALCHART?

WHAT IS A HOROSCOPE OR NATAL CHART?
A horoscope, or natal chart is a circular diagram of the heavens. It is erected to coincide with a specific time and date, on any given day and year. The astrologer calculates the time of birth or event. They use what is called an ephemeris. This book shows the planets precise position within the zodiac at any given time. As the Earth rotates on its axis, a different sign appears on the eastern horizon every two hours. This position is called the ascendant. When this position is properly calculated, the astrologer can then deline the chart, and place the proper zodiac signs in the 12 earth houses. Once this is completed, the astrologer can place each planet in the degrees of the zodiac sign at the time of birth. Then the horoscope is erected and ready to read.
The Planetary Ephemeris Program was developed in 1961 at the Lincoln Laboratory in Lexington Massachusetts. It was developed to aid navigational requirements by using the fixed stars in the heavens to calculate distance, time and position. It also coincides with the Greenwich Mean Time system. This is one of the most advanced astronomical almanacs, or ephemeris ever created. It has also been a heaven sent to all astrologers, for it allowed astrologers to cast much more accurate horoscopes.
The new computers and telescopes of today, can track the planets with incredible accuracy. The planet positions can now be computerized and calculated to any time in the future. It is interesting to note the planets can be charted not only in orbital position, but distance from the Sun. The planets transits can be calculated within one hundredth of a degree, at any give time, for the next 200 years. Nothing we know of on Earth, moves with that kind of precision. After 200 years of almanac evolution, the modern almanac is the ultimate calendar of the heavens.
The construction of the horoscope is usually based on the Ptolemaic system. The earth is stationary and the heavenly bodies move around it in fixed patterns. Astrologers have divided the heavens into 12 sections. Each section is governed by a different sign of the zodiac. The Sun, Moon and planets move through 12 fixed positions called houses. When the zodiac signs and houses have been established, the vibrational characteristics of the heavenly bodies, can be compared in geometrical, and angular placement in the natal chart. This information is then used to foretell events as related energies coincide with each other.
When understood these symbolic biorhythm patterns, provide much insight into the avenues of life, concerning the individual. The horoscope is the most valuable information we can hope to possess. The information contained within it, is revealing and informative to anyone on the path of spirituality. The horoscope contains information about all of the natural gifts and, unseen difficulties that we were born with.
You might say the horoscope is the blueprint of the soul, and our map of the future. Information gained from the horoscope, combined with a person’s heritage and place of birth, can open many doors of opportunity. It provides insight to why we are, the way we were born to be. This information can also provide us with knowledge that can improve every facet of life imaginable. Armed with this knowledge, we can lead happier, more productive lives. Thus avoiding many of the unseen pit falls of the material world. The amount of knowledge we possess, will determine the amount of freedom we’ll experience.
WHAT IS THE ASCENDANT?
You may have heard astrologers say, “What is your ascendant or rising sign?” The ascendant is always taken seriously in astrology. The three major aspects that are first considered by the astrologer are:
1. The sun sign is that part of the chart which influences the soul, or the conscious mind. The sun sign is most evident in the daytime, or between 6 A.M. and 6 P.M. The element of the conscious mind, is that energy we use when we are awake, or in a conscious state.
2. The moon sign influences the sub-conscious mind. These energies are like our memory banks for the brain. The sub-conscious helps us remember all that we encounter through experience or memory. The moon sign also influences the way we feel and has a great deal to do with the emotional body.
3. The ascendant, or physical self deals more with the material body. The ascendant even governs the facial appearance of the individual. It also represents the image we project to others and ourselves. It is the sign of the personality. The way the ascendant is found by an astrologer is to deline a person’s natal chart, or as some astrologers refer to as casting a horoscope. Imagine the circle of the zodiac around the Earth.
As the Earth orbits clockwise, it causes a different zodiac sign to appear every two hours on the eastern horizon. The sign on the eastern horizon, at the time of birth, is known as the ascendant or rising sign. The astrologer finds this information by calculating the time and place of birth, by using what is known as an ephemeris, a book that shows the planet positions. The planet positions are then added to the delined chart.

12 Keys to the Soul
WHAT IS A SUN SIGN?
The term “sun sign” indicates what zodiac sign the Sun was position in during a person’s birth. For example, if you were born on February 12, on any given year, you are considered to be an Aquarian person by soul nature. If you were born on August 3, you are considered a Leo, etc. The sector, or house the Sun was transiting at the time of birth, indicates aspects of your conscious mind and soul nature. The word’s Sun, solar, and soul are all derived from the same root word. The Sun in all its beautiful splendor and might, affects every living thing on the outside and inside of our planet.
The Sun causes the seasons to change by its magnetic polarity, and distance from Earth. Many wondrous things are attributed to the Sun. Sunlight is most necessary for good health and cell reproduction. Sunlight is essential for mental, physical, and spiritual growth. If we study the Sun’s effects closely, we see how greatly it directly affects humanities psychological nature. The Sun’s position at birth suggests much about a person’s character and mental ability. No factor in a chart is more recognizable, or influential to the conscious mind. If the Sun is well positioned in the natal chart, harmony and success can easily manifest. If poorly positioned, soul growth and positive expressions will be more challenging. With a study of nature and Christ principals, we become captains of our own ship.
However, some of the greatest souls are often born in the harshest conditions of life. Any aspect can be beneficial if understood and accepted for what it truly is. Everything experienced in life is determined by the spirit we choose to express. In this chapter, we do not use the common names for the Sun signs such as the Ram, the Scorpion, or the Bull. These names refer to animals and creatures, and are not suitable to describe humans who were created in the image of God. Still, the characteristics of these symbols are often exhibited in the actions of the sun signs. Humans are the most important beings on Earth, superior to any other creature. God created humanity with the ability to reason, and gave him power to create. No other creature on Earth possesses more potential. It is for this reason that we refer to each sun sign by its higher image or spiritual purpose. Example:
What zodiac sign the Sun was in at birth, will indicate what natural abilities we possess within the conscious mind. The Moon will indicate abilities we possess within the subconscious mind. Mercury indicates how we mentally perceive life, Uranus indicates intelligence, Venus personal loves and so forth. This is very important to consider when evaluating a person’s natal chart. As astrologer’s places each planet in each sign of the natal chart, they can see a truer picture of what the soul incarnation was created for. Also, what it is supposed to be doing. There are twelve sun signs. They are: Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius and Pisces. These signs are broken up into four categories of Fire, Earth, Air and Water. There are four Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable sun signs. Six of the signs are termed positive masculine, and six are termed negative feminine. When we become aware of the natural energies we were born with, it becomes easier to accept ourselves for who we truly are. Armed with just the information of a person’s sun sign, we could open up an instant avenue of communication and understanding.
Remember always, each person has many aspects in a natal chart besides the sun sign. Also remember that any subject as vast as astrology, will be subject to variations. For instance, we have seen charts with as many as 8 planets in one sign. People born around the cusp (the beginning or ending of a sign) will bare two different characteristics as well. Example: Someone born on November 26 would bare Scorpio and Sagittarius tendencies. We will also exhibit the constellations associated with each solar sign. So, with no further adieu we present “The Sun or Solar Signs of Humanity.”

SPIRITUAL PROGRESSIVE IDEAS

SYMBOLS above: Aries bestows qualities of leadership, new beginnings, competition and constructive activity. They approach life with a zeal and aggression that is unmatched by few of the other sun signs. The positive Aries will normally deplore domination, pain and violence of any kind. Children are the truest expression of this sun sign, for they exhibit great enthusiasm and innocence. The ram is a classic example and symbol of the Aries nature. Rams are determined, powerful and unyielding. Like the ram, Aries people face problems ‘head-on.’
The ram is a Jewish symbol of the Old Testament, depicting the Ariean age. The ram was often sacrificed in religious ceremonies. The symbol of Aries depicts two crescent Moons inverted sideways, indicating a soul meant to pour out, not retain. The Aries energy urges humanity to produce new and progressive ideas. This function makes Aries an important element to humanity. Without new ideas we could never progress, or meet life’s many changing challenges. Through these positive new ideas, the Aries vibration helps us blossom physically, mentally and spiritually. The symbols of Pluto, the governing planet, and Aries are present on the previous cover. The symbol of Pluto, governing planet of Aries, consists of a perfect circle, the retaining crescent moon and the solar, or even cross.
The super-conscious circle is above the sub-conscious crescent moon and above the cross of matter. This powerful symbol signifies perfect balance and the qualities of rejuvenation and regeneration. The key words of Aries are: “I Will.” This sun sign rules the head and face of the human body, especially the brow area. Ideas are born in the head and the eyebrows act as antennas that focus mental energies. Many Aries people have scars on their head or brow area, resulting from accidents caused by overly aggressive thoughts and mindless actions. This is a sign that really needs to put brain in gear before putting body in motion.
They are often determined and will defend themselves whenever challenged. It is because of these qualities, that Aries people are mistaken for the sign of war. Scorpio is the true sign of war. Aries has always been unjustly depicted as the sign of war. Scorpio and Mars are absolutely the main influence of war and emotional hostility. The two negative emotional reactions of aggression and non-forgiveness are certainly connected more to the Scorpio nature. To be the sign of war, you must certainly be able to hold grudges; Scorpio has no problem in this category.
Aries people are seldom vindictive and cannot stay angry for long periods. To be the sign of war you would also have a great tolerance for pain, Aries hates pain and cannot stand it. Scorpio however, seems to thrive on it. Besides being the sign of war, Scorpio is also the sign of mutation and death. Ancient Rome was the chief ruling empire of the Arian Age, existing two thousand years before Christ.
Rome was the Scorpio country at that time and dominated the world by war and force. Rome brought many nations together. You might say they were global pioneers that caused forced integration. The Scorpio planet Mars was named for the ancient Greek god of strife and destruction. It was for this reason many astrologers from the past, associated Aries qualities of leadership and competition as being connected to war and aggression. Many astrologers believe the Sun is exulted in the sign of Aries. War is never exulted; this sign is one of peace, not violence. Aries people possess a sense of enthusiasm, adventure and originality. Theirs is the first sign of the zodiac, therefore they are directly associated with the number one. This is often reveled in their attitudes, always wanting to be first.
Their fiery nature causes them to act without thinking at times. This attitude can cause many set backs. Their incredible resilience always seems to help them rebound. It is said that God loves a soul with a childish heart, so Aries must be well loved. They and Sagittarius are the natural explores of the zodiac. There is practically nothing these two won’t get into, and there is no distance they won’t journey to find amusement and adventure. The annual Aries cycle marks the beginning of the spring equinox. This is the time of the solar year, when the whole planet renews itself. It also governs the state of childhood, or the first seven years of life. They often possess a youthful appearance and childish nature and seemingly never grow old. This is an attitude that should be adapted by many of the other sun signs.
Like a child, they can be brutally truthful and believe in being right up front. Their positive attitude and generosity attracts many types of people.
They are often popular and socially active. The solar sign Aries is the cardinal fire sign of the zodiac. The four cardinal signs are said to be powerful, creative, structured and adaptable by nature. Their fiery planet, Pluto, greatly motivates these people and bestows upon them great amounts of dynamic energy. This planetary vibration is ceaseless and spirited, two characteristics of Aries. They truly need to disengage themselves once in a while and learn to stretch out and relax. Because of this ceaseless nervous energy, they can cause discord around others and sometimes get on peoples last nerve. All of the sun sign characteristics become more pronounced after adolescence, or after twenty-seven years of age. But in the case of Aries, they seem to never lose their sense of childhood. They can be old and gray, but they will still want to play.
These Plutonian people are constantly restless, moving and often over industrious. This driving ambition is a gift, but can also be hard to control when it is not used creatively. Aries represents the self-driving ego of humanity, a renewing element of motivating power. Their challenge is to channel this active energy, into positive areas and productive purposes. When the self-ego is controlled and the universal-ego is adopted, this solar sign can accomplish nearly any task imaginable, and believe me they can imagine a lot.
They possess abilities to create new ways to accomplish difficult and progressive undertakings. When team spirit becomes a part of their makeup, they are virtually unstoppable. Being the first sign of the zodiac Aries naturally rules new beginnings, ideas and concepts.
This solar sign generates competitive spirit and self-determination. They can motivate many people to become better and more progressive human beings. They live for challenge and fear very little in the material world. Their main fear is that they will fail to reach that all so important state of individualism. This is always the driving force that causes them to compete so hard in life. Aries people should study their sun sign nature and it’s innovative active energies, and that energy which drives them constantly forward. It had to be Aries that invented the word ‘hotheaded.’
They need to think before acting or speaking, and take care of the voice tone they use to communicate with others. In other words, put brain in gear before putting tongue in motion. The three fire signs (Aries, Leo and Sagittarius) are much alike, possessing natural inbred faith and fiery inner strength. Fire is a positive, expanding and motivating element. All four energies of Earth can be hard to channel, or control if not spiritually understood. Like their soul element fire, they rise and expand easily. Their tempers are like fire too; they rise and burn hot, then fade back to a smaller flame.
Aries people are determined and proud of their accomplishments. Their egos can sometimes push them into a frenzy. England and Germany are said to be Arian countries, they are perfect examples of the self-driving ego. They were both imperialist countries at one time. Few countries in the world exhibited better engineering skills. Aries people are usually healthy, active and strong. They need active physical hobbies requiring lots of competitive energy and spirit.
They should spend a lot of time outdoors especially in morning or evening sunlight. They, like the other fire signs, thrive on natural sunlight and fresh air. They are susceptible to sunstroke and should protect their heads from midday Sun. The head is the most vulnerable part of their body and should always be protected. With Aries teenagers, acne is often common due to self-indulgent diets. Non-greasy foods and high protein diets work wonders for complexion and general health. Worry, anxiety, excitement and especially anger produce mental disturbances and insomnia, this tends to upset their general health.
These people require plenty of rest and peaceful, harmonious surroundings. They should partake freely of vegetables and fish, which is brain food and avoid chemical stimulants. Herbs belonging to this sign are mustard, eye bright, bay and other herbs of a pungent nature. Aries main health problems are high blood pressure, migraine headaches and accidents from over reckless activity. Relaxation, exercise and peaceful environments can diminish most physical problems and soothe their over-active mind. To communicate with Aries one must use diplomacy, for emotional force, or arrogance will be met head-on.
They respond well to a soothing voice, this always seems to calm their active nervousness. Aries people live for life’s challenges and can be obsessed with having their own way. Strangely, their way of perception often turns out well. Because of their childish pranks, this sign is often called the joker of the zodiac. Like children, Aries people often throw temper tantrums if they don’t get their way. Unfortunately, people who love them, too often give in. This makes them even more determined to have their own way. They truly respect people who stand up to them when they are wrong. The best way to teach them is to give them an idea, and let them think they thought of it first.
If called upon to lead, Aries are more than willing to assume responsibility. However, if asked to follow, they are often reluctant and choose to go their own way. They are found to be fine business managers or corporate executives, usually at the head of an enterprise that needs leadership. They do best in fields where they are directors or superintendents. This is a sign, or vibratory influence, that will bring much needed change in the new age. Aries often possess spiritual healing abilities but seldom use them, like the child, they fear illness. They prefer to be around people that are energetic and healthy. Being governed by the planet Pluto, Aries have assertive, ambitious and daring natures.
There is no chance they will not take, if they feel they can make something better. Many times they should remember the old saying “ if it is not broken then don’t try to fix it.” Aries are said to have a strong sense of self. Their sign influences the human ego and self will. When guided by spiritual inspiration, they can achieve many goals worthy of their valiant effort. They should always remember that diligence and modesty can raise you to the social status they so desire. Aries tend to behave in impulsive foolhardy ways, they love horsing around and being adolescent. I have never been to an adult Aries home where there weren’t some toys lying around. Ever hear the old saying, “they’ll play at the drop of a hat?” Aries people believe in proving themselves through actions, rather than words.
They will jump into any situation, but seldom realize the commitment it will take to succeed. Their uncanny sense of self-confidence is often mistaken for arrogance. They have difficulty being objective for they want things now. They sometimes lack the consistency and foresight it takes to obtain their lofty goals. They love being the center of attention and will go to any length to be in the spotlight. They are great conversationalists and love to debate.
They are animated when expressing them selves. Fire, their soul element, is the symbol of force, drive, activity, expansion and resilience. This causes Aries to be naturally passionate individuals. However, Aries people do possess a disliking for advice, or direction by others. They have been known to really push their luck to the limit. Aries are natural athletes drawn to physical competition and playful activity. Action appeals to them and they have a natural gift for plunging into projects and activities with gusto. This can make them successful leaders and good at motivating others. As we said before, Aries is a sign that feels they must confront everything in life with willpower, action and determination. They truly believe that strength, intelligence and courage will see them through any situation.
Aries is the child sign, like the child, they are constantly telling people their version of the truth. It doesn’t matter to them if the truth is excruciating. They firmly believe in being true to their selves at any cost. They are not afraid to stand up in defense for their vision’s and personal convictions. Aries have a sense of honor and integrity. They are forthright with their dealings with others. Being the first solar sign of the zodiac, Aries seems to have a sense of authenticity and originality; this sometimes makes them feel like they are set apart from others. It may even make them feel they are outcasts from society at times. They believe that every person must stand up for himself. They have little sympathy for those they consider weak in character or will power. The three fire sign’s all bear similar characteristics; one of them is being free-spirited.
Aries mainly like to do things their own way. They are never comfortable taking orders from others. They often seem to lack a sense of cooperation and servitude. If you put them in a position where they can lead and give orders to others, they can flourish and will usually succeed at what they do. If those around them start to settle down in a nice comfortable rut, they will always be ready to stir things up, or to do something ridiculously new, even if it means bringing in some new blood to accomplish their goals.
Routine and boredom are two things this sign cannot cope with. They will go to any length to find a new thrill or personal happiness. They love originality and are not the least bit afraid to try something bold and exciting. Being a sign of new thought, they may sometimes seem foolish and even ridiculous to others. Often, their new ideas are emulated by the same people who ridiculed them to begin with. They love to take risks and will go to extremes to prove the smallest point. They love to discover, invent and initiate new ways of thought. They feel this is necessary and essential for people to progress. Like the child, they are spontaneous, impulsive, enthusiastic and direct. There are always people who will try to find fault with those that are happy and carefree.
Those people would do well, not to try to dampen the enthusiasm of Aries. Those people will be met with force and willful determination. They believe in the power of positive thought and positive action. They often think of themselves as being strong, righteous and even invincible. They hate being put in any position where they feel dependent on others. To them everything has to be done their own way. Accepting their own limitations and emotional needs is often difficult for Aries to express. This is not a good philosophy, for no man or woman stands alone. Everyone needs someone to accomplish his or her own goals and dreams in life.
They need to practice the art of diplomacy and avoid aggressive attitudes when communicating with those who can help them. When this is accomplished, there are few tasks that they cannot accomplish. No matter how big, or difficult those tasks might be. When they learn to listen to others, they can pick up important messages that can enhance their many new thoughts and conceptions. They need to learn to share the limelight. Often they can become so fired up about their own projects and ideas they exclude everyone. Unknowingly, they may unintentionally ignore, or diminish the thoughts of others.
If they are to grow spiritually, they will have to become coherent with others. Then they will realize the true powers and potentials of brotherhood, unification and spirituality.
Aries is the eternal optimist; to them the blacklist clouds are edged with gold. If they can allow themselves to be receptive and appreciative of others contributions, ideas and feelings, they can acquire many important assets in life. Things they could have never accomplished on their own. No matter what they do, they are constantly in a hurry. Impatience is absolutely one of their biggest faults, and often the one thing that causes them to fail at what they do. When they become frustrated, they try to accomplish their goals with the wrong temperament, often using anger and vocal outburst without thinking. This will result in many lost friendships and opportunities. They possess enormous amounts of active energy, and should not expect everyone to be able to keep up with them.
You can see that childish twinkle in their eyes, just before they dart off to only God knows where. They should learn to plot a viable course before putting feet in motion. Direction is something they really need to become aware of. To them everything in the entire world is a challenge, and needs to be faced up to, and conquered as quickly as possible. Aries can gain much by simply learning to slow down, relax and let things transpire naturally. Unfortunately, their hyperactive restlessness, rarely allows them to do this. However, if they do not learn to slow down, they will have plenty of time to think about their preventable mistakes.
They need to use a regimented exercise program. That can help them to channel some of that reckless nervous energy, into something resourceful and creative. Aries is a sign that feels they must confront everything in life with will power and self-determination. They believe in the old saying, “If you want something done right, then you have to do it yourself.” Often they cannot even admit that someone else came up with an idea, or a plan before they did.
They will even go to the extent of taking the full credit for something someone else initiated. They are one of the most enterprising signs, but often bite off more than they can chew. They hate failing or losing, and will abruptly tell you, it is better to have tried and failed than not to try at all. To be afraid of going after something you want, in the eyes of Aries, makes you a spineless coward. They do not understand, not everyone was born with the will power they naturally possess; and often take for granted. Their disregard for peril and protocol is legendary. Often their bravery, action and leadership, propels them to win out, and most important to be first. Although they are often quick-witted and make quick decisions, their decisions may not be so logical or even practical. Still they will expect those around them to abide in their decision. This solar sign performs well under pressure; in fact, pressure is something they see as motivation, so it is always acceptable. Remember, a true leader is only as powerful to the degree they empower others.
The sexual nature of Aries is often strong and positive, but not to the exclusion of romance. This cardinal fire sign produces some passionate and adventurous love affairs. They are energetic and dynamic in their romance, and in their pursuit for the perfect mate. They want a person who will be outstanding, whose ability and beauty will impress their friends. Through the contributing qualities of the many, do they build up their own ego and self-pride.
This will often help them achieve success in romance and the business world. They usually know what they want in a person and will go after it with a direct aggressive approach. If they are impressed with someone, they will shower them with affection, flowers, gifts and entertainment. They will discourage rivals with their complete assurance and self-confidence. These people are usually attractive, neat and youthful in appearance. They know their way around the romantic scene.
They will throw all of their time and energy into winning the person they love. Often they will succeed in obtaining whoever it is their heart desires. However, Aries are famous for obtaining something they wanted desperately, and then letting it go without even a blink of the eye. They will even want to run the household, and may even tell their mate what cloths to wear. To Aries sexual activity is just another opportunity to prove you’re the best, unfortunately your mate will look upon sexuality as a form of bonding. The free-spirited Aries believes that bonding is a form of restraint and limitation. They will need a certain amount of freedom to express their individuality, or their relationship will never work. Everything they do is caused by their desire, to have a mate they can display, as a reflection of their own good judgment. Once they find that one person they are searching for, they are steadfast and no other person will do for them.
One thing is for sure — having an Aries mate will be anything but boring. They love to play and they love foreplay. They will go to any extent to prove that they are a great lover. As long as their mate can entertain that idea within them, they will do well together. Aries are very energetic and ambitious people. Don’t expect them to be very attentive, or affectionate for long periods of time. They will not hurt you intentionally, because they are so wrapped up in themselves and their own importance, they may forget to show their mates the proper attention they deserve. They love to go places and do things that fulfill their sense of adventure. Of course, they will expect their mates to be able to take off with them at the drop of a hat.
It doesn’t matter how many friends they possess, they will always want to be the lead person in the group. They believe that everyone around them should do as they’re told and follow their lead. This is much like the Alpha male in a pack of wolves; I call it the big dog syndrome. Whenever anyone in the group challenges Aries, they will automatically be met with strong opposition.
They believe that they are truly individualistic and unique within themselves. Even if this is true, those around them may view this attitude as being intolerant, domineering, sarcastic and unreasonable. If anyone were to point out any of these flaws to Ares, they would systematically be denied and defended. This is a very bad attitude, for it leaves little room for improving the personal self. It also closes many important doors that need to be open for them to succeed in life. It is natural for them to fight against anything, or anyone, they feel are trying to rob them of their individualism. When this occurs within Ares, they can become ruthless and even heartless. The extent of force they use will be whatever it takes to defeat those they think that means them harm. When wronged, they can be forgiving to those who have offended them. Unless there is a Scorpio, or Taurus Moon within their natal chart, they won’t have much trouble forgiving others.
When spiritually motivated, they can be a force of love, generosity and compassion. However, they must never allow themselves to be judgmental of others. This attitude will lead to disruption and interference with their spiritual growth.
Whenever Aries finds him or herself being judgmental or critical of others, they should slap themselves on the head with something heavy and hard. This negative judgmental attitude, will limit their true perception. They should remember always that we are all God’s children and He loves us all.
As a whole, these people are not usually very religious. They would rather put their faith in new principles of living, as opposed to an old dogmatic way of perceiving life. They do not seek self-knowledge for their own sake, or because of inherent development. They crave truth and to know about themselves spiritually. You could say that Aries is not really introspective at all. They can go through a lifetime never suspecting there’s anything within them that needs examining.
This direct, self-assured approach to life is excellent by their measurement of standards. Being themselves, and expressing themselves gives them a force of personality. When backed by the energy of Pluto, it will take them far along the road they choose in life. They want to presume that what they believe and feel is not felt by anyone but themselves. Their aim in life will always be clear, direct and high. They believe that it is better to throw your spear at the moon and strike an eagle, then to throw your spear at an eagle and strike a rock. Aries is no doubt one of the more individualistic sun signs; their strong-willed nature will drive them to find new truths about self-expression within the mental-spiritual self. They have a natural inbred faith that will carry them through the hardest of times. Aries does not have to arrive at the perception of faith. If their faith is anchored in spirit, their journey in life will be smooth, beneficial and rewarding for them, and all those around them. Their positive and self-assured nature will cause many people to have faith and trust in them.
When Ares reaches a point of selflessness, they can become an abundant force of goodness and creativity. Then they will truly know what it is to be a co-creator with spirit and the universe. Through acts of selflessness, they will obtain the greatest gift of their desires, that gift is individualism. To have the will and determination they possess can either be one of the greatest of gifts, or the worse of crosses to bear. There is something inevitable about the life force of Aries; their indomitable purpose in life permeates their will to succeed. They are seldom defeated because they will not recognize defeat. They are born for and prepare to overcome efforts and strife, and will ultimately win the goal they strive for.
However, when they become too sure of themselves they often encounter some of the most freaky and weird accidents you can imagine. They can be heroic, for they often dive into situations where few people would dare go.
If they spend their lives limited by selfishness, they will often spend a life of loneliness and isolation. Being yourself does not always mean that you are free. It is possible to be enslaved and still be an individual. There are dungeons of liberty as well as dungeons of captivity; much of this depends on perception and personal belief. They would tell you that each person is the captain of their own ship, and that where we go in life depends on the course we have set for ourselves. When things go wrong the very first thing Aries needs to do is to check out their own thoughts and actions. Unfortunately, they have a tendency to blame others when things go wrong. This attitude does not solve the problem; it only compounds it, and causes them to lose face.
A positive, spiritual Aries can always admit when they are wrong. They take progressive action to correct whatever needs to be corrected within themselves. They crave desperately to be understood by others, they should remember the first step toward being understood, is understanding yourself. In the same respect, we can only know true love, when we come to love ourselves. The only way to know love is to search inside of yourself first. It is a curious fact that individualism is only of value when we coincide harmoniously with others. When these people are of the positive nature, they are truly a joy and inspiration to be associated with. This is truly what Aries desires most in life. The background of many Aries people is frequently filled with failure and adversity. It is the way we struggle with the inner self that makes us who and what we really are.
