It Starts With Me | by Angus McIntosh Sep. 11, 2011 | $24.99 | 76276 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: I grew up in KY, TN, MI, and NY. I got thrown out of SUNY Purchase for drug use and failing grades. I kind of graduated from Hunter College 3 years later with a double BA in History and Psychology. (I never filed for my diploma.) I considered attending grad school but studied martial arts and Zen instead. I earned black belts in both Aikido and Tai Chi Chuan and studied other arts less seriously. I read voraciously and can hold my own on most topics, except maybe math. I’ve washed dishes, worked in a warehouse, spent 4 years at IBM, managed and then bought for a chain of independent bookstores, been a personal trainer specializing in mind-body relationships, started and closed a dojo, founded a nonprofit, worked with high need kids, and started the Temple of the Circus Monkey. As an adult, I’ve lived in NYC, Los Angeles, Oakland, and San Francisco. I like Asian girls, sex, motorcycles, rum, cigars, eating out, Coca-Cola, hard boiled detective stories, bad movies, and game shows. I have the attention span of a teenage gnat. |

The Winning Mind | by Craig Lock April 21, 2011 | $3.90 | 72401 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: I’ve been writing about my passions since 1993. Craig has been involved in the corporate world (life assurance) for over twenty years in South Africa, Australia (briefly) and New Zealand. However, through a strange set of circumstances and finding himself in a small town near the bottom of the world ...and with nothing else to do, he started writing. Five published books later (well they turned out to be a vanity publisher and he and his family lost everything, their life savings, including the kitchen sink* - that episode is a book in itself!). Now many years later, “recovering“, having written another twenty manuscripts (on widely differing subjects - well what else is there to do here?)... this is where Craig is in the "journey/adventure" that is life. Craig has taught at the local Polytechnic, as well as running a successful creative writing course (not teaching sheep!). Together with his “technowhizzâ€friend, Bill Rosoman, he was the author of (as far as we know) the first creative writing course on the internet and this has developed to new writing and publishing courses we have introduced on our new Creative Kiwis.com website (www.creative kiwis.com) * that’s a metaphor, btw (“by the wayâ€) * Craig has many varied interests and passions. He is particularly interested in the field of psychology – studying the human mind and what makes different people "tick-tock grandfather clock". He is fascinated by the "overlap between psychology and the dimension of spirituality". One of his missions in life is helping people make the most of their hidden potential and so finding their niche in life... so that they are happy. Craig’s various books probably tell more about his rather "eventful" life best (no one could believe it!). He writes books with serious messages and themes, then as a contrast "rather crazy, wacky stuff"…to keep him sane here. As an ‘anonymouse’ person wrote: "All of us are born mad; some of us remain so." Well nothing else much happens in quiet provincial New Zealand, other than headlines like "Golf Ball Thrown at Policeman" and "Beach Toilet Closed for Season.". True! The “writer†loves to encourage and empower people to be the best they can possibly be, and to create what they want in life. Craig has learnt plenty from the "school of life" (still "battered and bruised") and also from a few "hard knocks on the head". He is an extensive world traveller (on a "shoestring budget") and failed professional emigrater who has spent most of his lifes savings on airfares. He is still sliding down the razor blade of life on the beautiful undiscovered island that is New Zealand, somewhere near the bottom (rude!) of the world near Antarctica. There he talks to the 60 million sheep! So here goes… # HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE Craig Lock is an extensive world traveller and failed professional emigrater who has spent most of his life's savings on airfares. He is still 'sliding down the razor blade of life', stuck on a deserted (other than a few brilliant rugby players) island at the bottom of the world near Antarctica, where he is 'trying to throw a double six' to get off and go out into the real world - but he doesn't know where! In the style of Bill Bryson, HERE, THERE AND EVERYWHERE tells tales of his hilarious hair-raising adventures in his younger years through 'Grate' Britain and the Continent. ‘’Dropped out in Godzone‘’: Craig Lock's humorous travel book about his adventures in provincial New Zealand... One man and his family - and their experiences "Down Under". The author and his wife contrast life in colourful, vibrant South Africa with calm and kindly New Zealand - and with large dashes of humour offer much understanding of, and sympathy with the social attitudes of the two worlds. A new immigrant's impressions of life in provincial New Zealand (after coming from a large city in South Africa) ... and there were one or two rather funny adventures, nay escapades in "Sleepy Hollow" from time to time! REVIEW: "DROPPED OUT IN GODZONE is an original and agreeable piece of work. The picture it gives of New Zealand- to one who has never been there- has a ring of complete authenticity. The feeling of the country is relaxed, and perhaps rather unstimulating, but we get an overall impression from the writer that he views his time there with some affection, and above all with tolerance." This book breathes a natural humour and kindliness, which is what gives it the individual character that is so appealing. Autobiography has a particular value as a literary form. It is a shared kind of writing and I'll continue to bang the drum. It is unusual to encounter two such different manuscripts from the same author. Both (THE END OF THE LINE is the other book) have quality and share an easy and assured writing style that is a pleasure to read. Both of these short books are of first rate quality." Craig is presently working on his latest novel 'The Awakened Spirit', based on some true and inspiring stories of the indomitable human spirit, that lies within each one of us. Stories of endless possibilities. He firmly believes in the motto: "Find what you love doing, then you will never have to do a days work in your life." Craig is certain he has found his niche in life... anyway, what other job would be suitable for him? ## PPS: Well there WAS a big earthquake here in "Sleepy Hollow" last week with buildings damaged. It made international news! ******** Craig has a 'passion' for writing books that tell stories about people doing positive things in this often so hard, sometimes unkind world, occasionally cruel, yet always amazing world - true stories that leave the reader feeling uplifted, empowered and hopefully even inspired. http://www.creativekiwis.com and www.lulu.com/craiglock Craig's mission is to encourage people to believe in themselves and try to help inspire people around the world to achieve their goals and dreams in life, whatever they may be. http://members.tripod.com/~lock77/ www.craiglockbooks.com and www.selfgrowth.com/experts/craig_lock.html The various books* that Craig "felt inspired to write" are available at: http://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/craiglock(e-books http://www.creativekiwis.com/books.html#craig and www.lulu.com/craiglock * Hard copies and e-books - fiction and non-fiction: novels, self help, personal growth, inspiration, travel, humour and money books. All proceeds go to needy and underprivileged children - MINE! PS Don''t worry about the world ending today... its already tomorrow in little scenic and tranquil New Zealand |

Feed My People Joy... Kingdom Living For End Times | by Robin Bremer May 11, 2010 | Free! | 72082 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I love loving God. He is sooo fun. I want everyone to know God as deep and personal as I do. Most people get saved out of FEAR OR GUILT and serve God out of OBLIGATION OR DUTY. Most people miss out on the warmth, depth, richness and EXPERIENCE of LIVING with God. I like to encourage people to expect more from God than what tradition or religions teaches. God wants a deep personal relationship with US His family. He is not standing off in a far Heaven with a pitch fork in one hand and a hammer in the other, waiting to hammer your head or poke you when you mess up. God is love, loves ultimate gift is to GIVE to the object of its love, YOU. God wants you to live on earth as you will in Heaven. (Mat 6:10) He wants you to COME AS YOU ARE RIGHT NOW, If there is any flaws in you He will gently convict (not condemn) you to change them. I want to woo you to FALL IN LOVE WITH GOD! If you were to die tonight do you know where you would go? The Bible says All have sinned and the result of sin is death. But WHOEVER calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. I am a whoever and so are you. Call on the name of Jesus right now. "Father God I accept the free gift of Jesus and make Him Lord of my life. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and show me how to know you and please you. In Jesus' Name " Robin Bremer is an ordained minister. Her God-given mission is to “Feed God’s people joy†and to “stroke them awake with God’s LOVE.†For more tool, free resources, illustrated charts, Power posters, confession cards and witness tools go to: http://www.robinbremer.net |

Master Your Destiny | by Manager Development Services Aug. 09, 2011 | $5.99 | 71993 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: Manager Development Services does one thing and one thing only; we specialize in training managers in the "art" of managing people. We teach managers how to inspire their staffs to become vested in the success of the business and take ownership of their positions. With this, employees become Career-Minded instead of Job-Minded, which means they show up at 7:55 instead of 8:05. They leave their baggage at the door and are proactive and self-managing. With "ownership," staff understand the principles of interconnectedness and social responsibility - they strive to excel. They understand that everything they do either enhances or diminishes them as a person. They understand that each task, no matter how small or seemly insignificant, adds to their skills, talents, and character. In the truest sense, they are working for themselves, refining their most valuable asset - them. We teach managers the principles of what we call, "Emotional Engagement." Most managers don't want to get into what they consider "that touchy feely stuff." But let's face it; people are human beings - not automatons. And unless a manager learns how to service his or her staff on a “human being†level, “that touchy feely stuff†will undermine his or her department. Success in business is all about relationships. Make raving fans of your staff and they will be willing to go to war for you. |

Impact | by Stan Lerner Jan. 07, 2010 | $9.99 | 69328 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: Even prior to his thirteenth birthday Stan Lerner the child prodigy was compared to the great artists of history. His paintings were of the stature of Miro and his writings reminiscent of Poe, and Tolstoy. Today he stands almost alone as the towering artistic force or our time. From the paintings of Black Period, to the motion picture “Meet The Familyâ€, to the Las Vegas music spectacle “Night Tribeâ€, and the novel “Stan Lerner’s Criminal†he has done nothing less than shift the paradigm of his chosen mediums. An artist’s, artist, his name resounds in the worlds of both art and business, but more than this his work has been a light to the disenfranchised. Embracing the dark, not afraid to find humor, the pure sexual celebration of music, all part of his most diverse pallet. Born and raised in East Los Angeles Stan Lerner the author is the product of the worst public school systems in the United States. Yet he was accepted to UCLA where he attended, and was perhaps most distinguished for his lifestyle and business savvy. A multi-millionaire artist by the age of eighteen his great artistic talent was perhaps eclipsed in the public eye by his fantastic wealth and fast lifestyle. Ultimately the death of his beloved father gave him the focus to pursue his artistic talents singularly. As a painter, playwright, musician, choreographer, screenwriter, director, and novelist, triumph after triumph has ensued. The one time jet setter is now hardly seen in public. The Lerner work however is never ending and always evolving. It is hard to imagine that such a profound body of work spanning more than twenty years is the work of a man just forty-two years of age. Lerner now only further solidifies his place in history and his value as a national treasure with every work. |

Awake Again - All the way back from Head Injury | by Martin Krieg Jan. 19, 2011 | $4.99 | 66006 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: I am Martin Krieg, a business school graduate of Cal State Hayward and former accountant. I have crossed the country twice on a bicycle after first rehabilitating myself from paralysis, clinical death and a seven week coma as a result of a car wreck. In 1979, I rode across America on a standard upright bicycle. For my second trip across America in 1986 I rode a recumbent bike and organized media events, public speaking and fund raising for the National Head Injury Foundation. That ride reached 40 million people amongst my newspaper, public speaking and TV and radio appearances. Upon its completion, to spread the word for the interconnected network of safe bikeable roads and paths called the National Bicycle Greenway (NBG) (which became a nonprofit in 1993), from 1987 to 1994, I published 60,000 Cycle America Regional Directories in four different parts of California. In 1994, WRS Publishing published the book I had written and rewritten for 14 years. Called Awake Again, it shows how I turned my long rehabilitation and subsequent bike rides, into the same game I am playing now to make the NBG real. Once this next chapter of my life's dream, the NBG, can stand on its own, I will then return to my writing and public speaking, Until then: For the next five years, I alternated between traveling the country to promote my book and learning the excitement of the all new World Wide Web as I built the first web sites for well over a hundred small and large bike companies. In 1997, I began a campaign to send hundreds of cyclists to Washington, DC. It started in Santa Cruz, CA with two Swing for NBG events and a Lighthouse Party send off. All of which ended with a widely known bike celebration called Cycle America 2000. We brought that excitement back to the West Coast with two huge cross country relay rides both of which ended in the Surf City with Festivals. During this time, I also personally inspired, coached and consulted on over a dozen other successful transcontinental bikes rides. Since 2003, from Palo Alto, CA, we still produce the annual National Mayors' Ride and I began the Mountain Movers Podcast series. In addition, I have also written “How to Bike America†and am working on a business plan for the NBG as well as what amounts to the sequel to "Awake Again' called “How America can Bike and Grow Rich, The National Bicycle Greenway Manifesto†(HBGR). I took the 2007 Mayors' Ride season off to devise a fully interactive Google mapping system that runs like a game while building community to let users calculate, request, plan, utilize, store, display and vote on bike routes. I did this all toward the end of showing how, in our increasingly crowded world, the internet can now make the bicycle the superior way to move one's self about. Once my cross X rides are complete, it will be this program I will work to make real so we can connect the principal roads and paths we identify for safe intra city travel with those those that connect cities. And as this happens, coast to coast bike travel will become possible on the National Bicycle Greenway heaven I know will soon result. In the summer of 2009, in an attempt to call attention to the NBG, in what now amounts to a test run because of all the horrific weather, I rode the Eagle HiWheel, the only one like it in active use in the world, from SF to Salt Lake City. In 2010, my Mayors' Ride/Author Tour on the amazing Eagle was put on hold by a car that ruined my bike when it turned left in front of us. At which point I moved to Ireland, married my wife Virginia, had Baby Cayo and have been studying the Greenway successes made possible here by a joint partnership between the National Tourist Bureau and 14 other public and private stakeholders as led by the Irish National Road Authority. Also from Ireland, I am building Bike Sherpa (gear carrying cyclists since I have learned carrying things is ill advised on my HiWheel)) support, for my next trip across America on the Eagle. If you are interested in signing on to support my 2013 crossing, please Email me at awakeagainmartin@gmail.com. THX 4 all of U!! |

Confessions of an Instinctively Mutinous Baby Boomer and her Parable of the Tomato Plant | by Marsha Roberts March 03, 2012 | $2.99 | 65010 words | Sample 15% |
| Author bio: Marsha is publishing her first book, "Confessions of an Instinctively Mutinous Baby Boomer and her Parable of the Tomato Plant." She began her professional career as a scrub nurse in open-heart surgery, but her gypsy spirit would not leave her alone. At 23 she walked away from that life to travel and seek new adventures. She worked as an art director, a stage manager and film editor. She also wrote and directed a motivational audio program for Mary Kay (the woman herself, not just the company). Along the way she discovered a knack for selling creative projects and produced marketing films and elaborate Corporate Theatre presentations for IBM, Coca-Cola, Revlon, Georgia-Pacific and Domino's Pizza among others. This led the way to developing and producing a full theatrical production, "Letters From the Front," which she toured for fifteen years all around the world. Her travels took her to Germany, England, Belgium, Italy, Spain, S. Korea, Japan, Guam and the Indian Ocean, plus virtually every major city in the states including Alaska and Hawaii -- all with her kid in tow. This one-of-a-kind theatrical production and dozens of award-winning documentaries were produced alongside her writer/director husband, Robert Rector, under the banner of Rector-Roberts Productions. Marsha currently lives on a mountain top with Bob and two lovable mutts and is working on her second Mutinous Baby Boomer book. |

The Paradigm Formula: Your 2012 Survival Guide | by Adrian Dorsey July 03, 2011 | $4.50 | 63190 words | Sample 20% |
| Author bio: Christmas of 2009 I received a little book from my father, Robert Dorsey. My wife, Amy, and I thought the cover of it looked pretty hokey but my father gave it to me so I tried not to judge the book by its cover. It was "The Science of Getting Rich", by Wallace D. Wattles. It is this same book that inspired the movie "The Secret". The contents of this book helped me to realize that there is a scientific formula that governs our daily life from the time we are born until we pass on to wherever it is we are going. I began to look back over my life to understand for the first time why I experienced the failures that I have and how I managed to attract what successes I have had. There is a reason failure and success come to you but what shocked me the most was realizing that both are determined by Acting and Thinking in a Certain Way. The most recent application of this fact is that by thinking and acting in a certain way my wife and I managed to cross the distance of two thousand miles in order to live under one roof. I immigrated from Alberta, Canada, to live with Amy down here in the America. Looking back on how we managed to accomplish this we can see the Paradigm Formula at work. Many people who applied for the immigration process at the same time had not managed to complete their own journeys as quickly as we did. So we knew something was at work. We gave our goal to live under one roof a deadline to come to pass. A few times things seemed to take a little longer but we noticed a pattern. It seemed that four months after the deadline we set for ourselves for each stage of this journey would become a repeating pattern. There was a power at work here that seemed to be making itself known to us. Or... we were simply becoming aware of it. So long as we kept our minds and hearts focused on the objective we would make progress.. but when we entertained discouragement then that momentum slowed down. Then right before the actual accomplishment we went through the toughest trial of the whole ordeal. Did you know that it is normal for one to experience apparent set back or out right failure before the moment of success suddenly breaks upon you. I found within the pages of this little book by Wattles aspects of this formula and how it was working all along in my life and it brought me together with my beautiful wife whom I love with all that I am. I would expand my studies to include the works of Napoleon Hill, Earl Nightingale, Bob Proctor, Ralph Waldo Emerson, William Walker Atkinson, Raymond Holliwell... all of these men discovered the formula behind why things work in our lives that bring us either the greatest success or the most begrudging failures. There is a reason... and as much as I loved to blame it on some divine being or unclean spirit or bad luck or this or that... the truth of the matter is that the outcome of all that I have experienced was completely dependent on how I was thinking and acting in a certain way. My book has gone through some revisions and is now titled The Paradigm Formula: Your 2012 Survival Guide that will be available both in print form as well as a download to your computer and Ipad. In here I reveal to you how I allowed the appearance of media derived world events and the appearances of situations in my personal life dictate the opportunities that came my way. I take you on my own journey of understanding the Law of Attraction and many other Universal laws that govern and operate in our daily lives. I introduce you to the paradigm that controls your life and determines your fate as to why you fail and why you succeed in life and why you are where you are at now. The little subconscious habits that you do which determine every success and the lack thereof which has been passed down to you by your parents and grandparents and so on. Why do your parents failures manifest in your own life? Or why have you succeeded where they have? Why do so many things seem to repeat themselves generation after generation and it is still happening in your life today? What can you do about it? Understand the Paradigm Formula and make the shift within yourself so that you can finally be the person you were created to be and do the things that you know in your heart that you were created to do. |

There are numerous authors helping our brothers and sisters get clear with their intention, and helping them to get clear with changing their thoughts and changing their perception about themselves and their lives. Once our community of family gets it, families will no longer choose to be or live in a fear. Kids will be happier, kinder, more loving because parents will learn how to support self-esteem in their children, confidence building by positive words, actions and deeds. It only takes one person at a time to get it and share it with others, through love." |
